Cognitive Health
The effects of ageing can impact the quality of life and the ability to maintain independence. Limited evidence suggests that eating a diet containing a variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans, and seafood during adulthood is associated with lower risk of age-related cognitive impairment, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. Research shows that including walnuts, as part of a healthy diet, may play a role in helping maintain and improve physical and cognitive health as people age.
