Strawberry Walnut Date Smoothie
Ingredients

- Walnut Cream
- 1½ cups California walnuts
- 1½ cups water
- Strawberry Walnut Date Smoothie
- 1½ cups strawberries, hulled and quartered
- ½ cup California walnuts
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or a 5.3-oz individual cup)
- ½ cup Walnut Cream, plus 1 tsp for garnish
- 3 Medjool dates, pitted
Preparations
- Walnut Cream: Place walnuts and water in a high-speed blender container. Blend at low speed, then increase to high. Blend for 3 minutes or until very smooth. Store any unused cream in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Strawberry Walnut Date Smoothie: Place all ingredients in a blender container and puree until very smooth. Add 1 tsp of the walnut cream to the inside of the serving glass. Pour the blended ingredients into the serving glass. Serve.
